Lovely Finds - Illustrated Packaging by Anke Weckmann

Anke Weckmann recently designed packaging for Too Cool For School. The results are just beauteous.

If you think her packaging is as awesome as I do, you should probably head over to her blog - she's having a giveaway!

(i heart) ART - Juan F. Leguizamon

A nice little visual narrative for you to look at this morning, courtesy of Juan F. Leguizamon. I'd love to spend a day navigating the sea on the back of a friendly serpent. Really. I seriously would.

PS - This is only a little snippet of the story: see more here.

Lovely Finds - Moose

Moose has such a wonderful and eclectic selection of jewelry. I mean - I never thought I'd see a dumpster necklace. And I definitely never thought I'd see a dumpster necklace and desperately want it!

Some triangle-terrific-ness from Ana Montiel. I am a rather-extremely-large fan of her use of color. For real.

Lovely Finds - Just Noey

If I were getting married soon, I'd put twenty-six things on my registry. Those twenty-six things would be a Just Noey plate for every letter in the alphabet. They're SO awesome! I don't know why I'd need all twenty-six... but I wouldn't be able to eliminate any of them.

This is one of my favorite finds in months. Parul Arora - you're a gem. I'm jealous that you have all these guys sitting in your home.

BLOG - Movie Titles

I discovered the Movie Titles tumblr and proceeded to go through every single page of it. Some might call that a waste of time - I just call it time well spent enjoying some awesome movie titles.

Have you seen any supremely-fantastic movies lately? Do let me know, because my Netflix queue actually isn't full right now (you can only have 500 movies on it at a time - I wonder how many people ever [like me] discover that).

(i heart) ART - Drew Beckmeyer

I love t-shirts = the reason I will never be very "high fashion". I have so-so-SO many, but I couldn't resist buying two from Threadless yesterday when I got an email reminding me that some are on sale for $10.

One of the shirts I bought features an illustration by Drew Beckmeyer. After I bought the shirt, I ended up spending awhile browse-browse-browsing away on his website, & I most definitely liked what I saw (understatement - I loved what I saw).

Lovely Finds - Natalia Milosz-Piekarska

Nice. Nice. NICE. I love this jewelry by Natalia Milosz-Piekarska... I've never really seen anything like it. She doesn't seem to have an online shop, but here's hoping she gets one soon.

(i heart) ART - Monster Friends

So, if you listen (or, um, read) my rambling, you are well aware of the fact that I love squid / octopi / many-legged-creatures-of-the sea. I've touched on that fact like... 94843 times before. Well, Alex Pearson either knows the way to my heart OR he's just lucky, because he sent me an email to me introduce me to the Monster Friends Series.. and the first image I saw upon opening the email was The Kraken. True love. True love between an illustration and a 24-year-old living girl.

I always pictured The Kraken as this insanely terrifying creature that would gobble me up without batting a giant slimy eyelash. Alex's version of The Kraken looks as though he just wants to have a swimming partner. I'd love to have him lift up my boat! Gently. Very gently. But as long as he had a tender-tentacle-touch, he'd have my full permission to bat around my boat a little bit.

Anyway. The Monster Friends Poster Series is a complete delight & you should all go check it out. All four are limited edition prints (100 each).

The Kraken is by the aforementioned Alex Pearson, the Yeti is by Jeff Kandefer, Andy Young created the Loch Ness Monster, and the Sasquatch? He's by Julian Baker.

Now someone slip me a $80 so I can buy the quartet.

Things, stuff, life, it's the weekend, & so forth, etc.

This is a rather long-winded (or long-imaged) end-of-the-week post because I found a lot, a lot of things I loved during my internet gallivanting. I actually found way too many awesome delights to fit in this post, so I tumblr-ed them (and will continue to do so)... so you can keep an eye on LOVELINESS if you want some more goodness.

HAVE A FANTABULOUS WEEKEND you fine folks, you.

So... I was the Guest Curator at Etsy with a bunch of book & reading related picks. It was awesome & you should go check it out if you haven't... for me, haha.

Oh, & sorry that you won't find any actual books there: one of the commenters was displeased about this... like... m'am? These are things for people who like to read, or things to use while you read... you have to provide the actual books yourself. Plus - who goes on Etsy to buy reading material. Really? Get outta here.

Super-splendid barnacle-looking creatures from Lili Scratchy.

Watercolor hearts on a string strung together by Alice at Quaint Living (p.s. she has a totally rad links page).

A picture of some delightful pastry packaging snapped by Spoken Love Song.

Fantastic gift tags by A Wilderness For You and Me found via Eat Drink Chic.

I'd end up ripping these 2 to 3 hours after wearing them... but those first rip-free couple of hours would be magical (via julia.)

Bright & illustrated beer packaging by Straydog Marketing + Design via Lovely Package.

Ah! I'd love to have hair like this for a week (via the Urban Outfitters blog).

I did a little round-up of animal jewelry over at N.E.E.T.

My dream office found via Lace & Tea.

Cottage bedroom greatness found via Kitka.

The belts! They just make the outfits (from Maan and - SADLY - for kids, not adults) even more awesome. Found at SeeSaw.

Shoes from u n g t b l o d.

Etsy, Etsy, Etsy (Sea Creatures)

To happily contrast with the last post featuring many a creature of the forest, this post is full of creatures from the sea. I have a huge collection of octopus-squid-jellyfish related things. I don't really know where my love of tentacled creatures comes from.

Actually - maybe I do. In 8th grade science class everyone had to do a presentation on an article from National Geographic. I chose an article called "Jelly Bellies" about jellyfish. I think that started my semi-obsession.

The print above is by Jen Skelley.

Lovely Finds - Le Voyage Creatif

I tend to post lots of things that are brightly colored because, well, because I love brightly colored things! But that doesn't mean I don't appreciate goods that aren't as vibrantly hued. No way. For example - I think all the jewelry in the Le voyage Creatif shop is wonderful. Very wonderful, in fact.
