Gems of the Week

In my humble opinion Maleficent is the the best Disney villain of all time. It's a small tragedy that I haven't celebrated a Halloween clad in her robe & horns yet. Maybe this year. Via Cat Party.

Everyone's been raving about the Rodarte for Opening Ceremony women's lookbook.... I'm also fond of the men's one, which isn't getting as much play. Although that's probably because I mostly read blogs written by & for women. That could be it. Via.

Just... a Brad Pitt picture. Because. I mean. Why not? Why not. Via. This looks like it's from the Legends-of-the-Fall-ish era. When I was in middle school I wanted to name a future son Tristan in his honor. Watch this video I just found if you'd like to gaze at Brad/Tristan. But I recommend turning the volume off.

Airheads by Hector Serrano via Present&Correct. So cute. So birthday-party-perfect. Jungle theme.

How could I not post a squirrel & her (his?) handbag? Via Something Changed.

I'd love to wear the dress Katharine is wearing in this.

Dan Hillier via cinders & rain.

yes! Maleficent is undoubtedly the best villain ever! i think i got a little too excited when her picture showed up in my feed ;)
I'm so overwhelmed by awesome! Cuddle mattress! Animal balloons! Squirrel-in-purse!
great round up...if only i could get my husband to wear that awesome sweater. happy weekend!
that hair. <333
i was watching benjamin button last night & was drooling all over the place. a lot of people say he hasn't aged well but i think he is still looking pretty fine. thank goodness for photographs..(esp. the one you posted.)
You are a genius. Every year my friends & I come up with some group costume idea & I am thinking this year we should be disney villians. Ursula, Cruerla Deville, Captain Hook, the Queen of Hearts...
Jess - I mean... excitement is the natural reaction to seeing Maleficent.
Sophie - It is a pretty awesome edition of Gems of the Week.... if I do say so myself.
Monique - Happy weekend to you too!
Gee - I agree with you - I don't know how he could have possibly aged better, frankly.
Anna - Ahahaha I don't know if I'm a GENIUS..... You should definitely do that as a group costume theme, though! I'd like to be any of those guys. I actually dressed up as the Queen of Hearts when I was about 8, but she's definitely worthy of a repeat appearance. And I have a perfect fake fur coat for a Cruella costume.... Ursula would be rather difficult, what with the legs and all.
I loved the squirrel with her purse :) x
I think I just missed the Brad heydey - I never understood why everyone thought he was so hot. But that picture above... you have changed my mind, ma'am.
Ana - She's a fashionable rodent.
Sally - I've been like that with other supposedly "hot" actors. Sometimes you just don't see it unless you see the right movie at the right time. Case in point for me - Johnny Depp. I've just never "got" other people's obsession with him
I am SO glad I decided to check my stats - referring sites, I would've never come across your amazing website if I wouldn't have! :) In LOVE with your typeface (own design or anything I might know?) and your blog in general. Adding you to my own link list ASAP! (and thanks for including me in your own ;))
I love the balloons! and the squirel
THOSE BALLOONS!!! Love them.
Kit & Anne - Aren't they adorable?
Stefanie - No problem, Stefanie! I love your blog! I wish that I'd created the typeface.... sadly that is not the case. It's called - "Rolo Contreras".
Maleficent costume! That, I have never seen, but it would be quite spectacular. I think my fav Disney villain is either King John from Robin Hood or Shere Khan from the Jungle Book.. but the costumes wouldn't be quite so outstanding.
Their costumes probably wouldn't be as fashionable (or easy to construct), but they're some of my favorites too. And Sir Hiss. He's more of a villain sidekick than an actual villain, but he's still an excellent character. My favorite King John line is - "be gone Long One".
Hehe, classic. I should have said "Prince" John. Peter Ustinov played him and King Richard both. Brilliant!
Those Balloons are ridiculous made me laugh, best for birthday parties for kids you can try it for adults lol. Thanks for sharing.
